You can either find these owls while playing in story mode or you can try to locate them in open-world later. We would recommend you find them as you complete the story as it is easier and you don’t have to go through the locations twice. Once you unlock Rinwells Owl – Hootle, it will become easier for you to locate the rest of the owls. Hootle starts flying and hooting when you are around any owl or a few meters away from them. Once you have found the First 33 owls, you will have to complete a side quest and talk to the Owl King to make the last 6 owls spawn. All of the owls you’ve already found will appear on your map in a white owl icon. If you go to the Owl Forest, you will see colorful trees with Owls on them. The colors indicate the different realms where you found the owls. Here are the colors of each realm.
