Which is the Best Retro Cup Battle Team in Pokemon GO

Lickitung (XL)

Fast Move: Lick Charged Move: Body Slam and Power Whip Resistances: Ghost Weaknesses: Fighting

Lickitung is here to keep us on our toes as we try to win the Retro Cup. The best on the field, use XL Candy plus a Legacy move for optimal success. Even though Likitung is a Normal-type Pokemon, it is great on the field and its only weakness is fighting moves. Best to use it in the second round of battle.

Trevenant

Fast Move: Shadow Claw Charged Moves: Seed Bomb and Shadow Ball Resistances: Electric, Fighting, Grass, Ground, Normal, and Water Weaknesses: Dark, Fire, Flying, Ghost, Ice

With one of the best fast moves in the game, Trevenant can wreck anyone coming in his way with his moves. Shake things up with Seed Bomb and then use Shadow Ball to finish things up. Make a powerful entrance in the game by using Trevenant in the first round of your Retro Cup Battle Team in Pokemon GO.

Froslass

Fast Move: Powder Snow Charged Move: Avalanche and Shadow Ball Resistances: Normal, Poison, Ice, Fighting and Bug Weaknesses: Dark, Fire, Ghost, Rock and Steel

Our ice queen on the field, Froslass is an ice & ghost Pokemon. Use her Hex and Shadow Ball to hit your enemies hardest. It is best to use her at the end of your game, in the third round. This allows her to be used optimally and in the best way possible.

Walrein

Fast Move: Powder Snow Charged Moves: Icicle Spear and Earthquake Resistances: Water and Ice Weaknesses: Fighting, Rock, Grass, and Electric

Another great first round competitor, here is Walrein. With its improved fast and charged moves, Walrein has just gotten better. Unless you have these moves, we don’t recommend using this great Pokemon in the Pokemon GO: Best Retro Cup Battle as these are what make it one of the best.

Altaria

Fast Move: Dragon Breath, Peck Charged Move: Sky Attack, Moonblast, Dragon Pulse, Dazzling Gleam Resistances: Ground, Grass, Water, Fire, Fighting and Bug Weaknesses: Rock, Fairy, Dragon and Ice

Here we have Altaria, a dragon/flying type Pokémon. You won’t go wrong with either of its fast moves. However, trying to catch one is super difficult. You will need at least 400 Candy to even get it. As it has evolved from the Swablu to this stage, this dragon is a worthy pick.

Alternatives

Electivire, Cresselia, Medicham, Gyarados, Nidoqueen, Snorlax,  Abomasnow, Machamp, Linoone, Regirock, Chansey (XL),  Dewgong, Deoxys and Drifblim. And that’s all there is to it. These were our top picks for the Pokemon GO: Best Retro Cup Battle Team. Ultimately, it all comes down to preference. As well as covering all of your bases to make sure that your team is without flaw. Pokemon Go has made a huge impact on us since 2016. And it continues to evolve and impress us as time goes by.
