What is the Roro Chan Challenge?

Roro Chan is a new phenomenon that tasks people with certain ‘missions’. However, these tasks will put your life at risk. This challenge tasks you with performing potentially fatal acts. These include running across a highway through high-speed traffic, standing on ledges, or causing self-harm. All of these have high chances of going bad as they are potentially life-threatening tasks.

History

This Challenge gained notoriety in 2014 and is named after a 14-year-old Japanese girl. Roro Chan, the girl in question was an active social media user and used to undertake various challenges. One such challenge that she performed ended up with her losing her life. She even live-streamed her demise. For safety purposes, I will not divulge any details about her death. The users that challenge people to such tasks also ask them to live stream such incidents. This ends up propagating self-harm and spreading gore among users.
